Enhancing Sanitation and Hygiene: New washroom facility constructed at Punarutthan Samarsatha Gurukulam, Pune in May 2023

Another milestone was completed while moving ahead on Team Fab Foundation’s journey by providing a new construction of a washroom facility at Punarutthan Samarsata Gurukulam, Pune.

The project includes the construction of
-5 urinals,
-5 washrooms,
-Shower area,
-an overhead tank with a capacity of 2,000 liters,
-an underground tank with a capacity of 10,000 liters.

All of the above are designed to serve 187 children at the residential school from underprivileged groups like Pardhi, Bhill, Wadar, Kolhati, Adivasi, Street Dwellers, orphans, etc. It combines regular school education from grades 1 to 12 with traditional skill-based education like welding, plumbing, construction, carpentry Ayurveda, etc.

The total Project Cost worked out to Rs 7.5 Lacs.

Looking into the traditional skills followed and requirements, two Curd Kneading Machines were supported to ensure ongoing fulfillment of their basic need.

A Water Cooler was also installed to provide clean drinking water to ensure hygiene among these children.

This small step towards Upgradation of the Washroom facility will give the resident children basic, hygienic, and sanitation facilities which will further help them in their well-being and education.
